A new video out of South America shows what it looks like when the nests of Giant South American River Turtles hatch.
These nests are near the Guaporé River between Brazil and Bolivia. This is part of the Amazon River basin.
Similar to what you’ve seen in a sea turtle video, newborns need to get to the water to avoid predators once they emerge from the ground.
The Wildlife Conservation Society shared the video and said this turtle species can grow up to 200 pounds.
